Cargill President was elected as Chairman of the Amcham Shanghai

Shanghai - Cargill president Norwell Coquillard was elected as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai at Amcham recent Annual General Meeting. Amcham Shanghai is now largest and fastest growing American Chamber of Commerce in the Asia Pacific area with more than 3,700 members including 1,600 corporate members.

Amcham Chairman Eric Fiedler said: “I congratulate the 2008 AmCham Shanghai Board of Governors – all elected tonight from a strong slate of candidates. I have worked with Nor Coquillard for four years on the Board – he has served AmCham Shanghai as Governor for four years, as Treasurer for three years and as a member of our annual Washington Door Knocks. He brings a wealth of corporate experience, understanding of the membership and leadership to the role of Chairman of the Board of Governors. I can't think of anyone more capable to lead AmCham Shanghai. Congratulations to all of the elected Board members, and I look forward to building on the success we achieved this year.”
