The Mosaic Company is one of the world’s leading producers of phosphate, potash, and nitrogen products for crop and animal nutrition. Mosaic is the world’s largest producer of phosphate (total phosphate capacity 13.2 million tons), and in 2004, it was the world’s largest miner of potash (total potash capacity 9.3 million tons).
Mosaic China operates bonded warehouses at five ports and handles up to 800,000 tons of DAP annually. Its Yunnan joint venture, in which Cargill owns a 35% equity stake, has an annual DAP production capacity of 600,000 tons. Mosaic China also owns and operates bulk blending facilities with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons and compound NPK production facilities with an annual capacity of 170,000 tons.
