Cargill Sugar has been in existence since 1965. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the business employs over 200 people in 16 countries. Business is conducted through other Cargill offices worldwide. The division is involved in the origination, financing, freighting and marketing of raw refined sugar and ethanol. We are trading and shipping over 9 million metric tons of sugar and ethanol annually.

In conjunction with the Cargill financial markets division and risk management group, Cargill Sugar is able to offer unique price hedging and risk management tools beyond the quoted futures market. Very flexible hedging instruments can be tailored to fit even the most complicated situations.

We are involved in domestic markets in the Russian Federation, the Middle East, South America and Asia. In South Brazil, we operate a Bulk & Bag sugar loading facility in Guaruja. We are currently the largest shipper of raw sugar from Brazil.

The Cargill Sugar Asia regional trading office is located in Hong Kong. We serve our Asia Pacific customers by providing them with critical market information, logistics, price protection and quality assurances. We originate quality sugar from Brazil, Guatemala and Thailand and supply to regional customers including China. For more than 25 years we have served Chinese customers and helped them maximize their refining capacity via re-export tolling business.
